Lionel Messi, the football legend, arrived at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport.
On his arrival in the Kingdom on Monday night, the Argentine footballer was greeted with a royal welcome.
As part of his visit to promote the country's developing industries, Messi stopped into Jeddah's historic district.
Princess Haifa Al-Saud, assistant minister of tourism, hosted and accompanied Leandro Paredes, a teammate at his club and national team, and a family member of the Paris Saint-Germain and Argentine footballer.
Messi and his companions had a tour of old Jeddah, including ancient landmarks listed on the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization's heritage list.
